This striped tablecloth alternates soft lilac and cream in even bands, a lavender table linen woven by hand from 100% cotton in Chiapas, Mexico, with a hand-stitched seam down the center and knotted tassels at both ends. It comes in Small, 63 by 72 inches, and Large, 63 by 120 inches.

Is a lilac tablecloth too sweet for dinner? Not when a stripe does the work. Lilac and cream look soft in daylight and grown up by candlelight, especially with figs, grapes, eggplant, and green taper candles down the middle, as in the outdoor dinner pictured here.
