This is the quietest useful plaid in the drawer. Sienna and oatmeal is close enough to neutral that the napkins work on a bare wood table in March, and warm enough that they carry a Thanksgiving place setting without any help.
Eighteen inches square, which is the size that actually stays on a lap. Cotton, so they wash, press, and come back rather than going in the bin at the end of the night.
