A burgundy velvet girl dog collar with a matching bow, and the two together cost six dollars less than buying them apart. Plush velvet runs on both faces of the collar, so the dressy look does not come with a scratchy interior.

The bow is the part worth understanding. It is removable, and it attaches with two elastic loops on the back rather than one, which is what stops a dog bow from drooping sideways an hour into the party. Take it off and you still have a burgundy velvet collar for every day. Small bows measure 4.5 inches square, Large 5.5 inches.
