A round placemat frames a single plate the way a charger does, without the weight. This one is cut in a scalloped circle and printed with tiny red and pink blooms and green leaves on cream, then lightly quilted so it lies flat and cushions the table.
It measures 14 inches across at the widest point and is made from 100% organic cotton, GOTS certified. Sold individually, so you can buy for a table of four or a table of twelve.
Are quilted placemats worth it? The stitching adds a little body, which keeps the edge from curling and softens the clink of plates and glasses on a wood table.
Set them under cream dishes for a garden look, or mix with a solid cloth napkin for a holiday table that feels gathered over time.
Perfect for: Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, bridal showers, garden parties, Mother's Day brunch, and everyday family meals.
