Circus balloons usually mean a printed round latex pack that deflates into a sad little pucker overnight. This is a 16 inch foil orb instead, a dimensional sphere in blue and red stripes that keeps its roundness because the mylar is moulded rather than stretched. The stripe reads big top from across a room, so three or five of them clustered over a dessert table do the work of a whole banner. Inflate with helium and float them at staggered heights, or inflate with air and nest them along a table runner. What is a foil balloon?
A foil balloon, also sold as a mylar balloon, is made from a thin nylon sheet coated with metallized polyester rather than stretchy latex. Because the material does not stretch, it holds a printed or moulded shape and retains gas much longer than a rubber balloon.
