Hanging one is easier than hanging ribbon, which is most of the point. A sewn fabric loop on the back takes a hook, a nail, a zip tie, or a length of ribbon threaded through and knotted behind a wreath. On a banister, loop it over the newel post and let the ties fall down the front. Fabric bows also hang correctly the first time, because the shape is sewn in rather than propped up by a wire edge.
Navy is the useful move here. It reads festive next to red and green in December and holds its own on a front door in February.
