Two five-foot banners that spell out Merry Christmas in layered felt, one word to a strand, in red, green, and cream. Fourteen pennants are sewn onto cream grosgrain ribbon, with a red and white striped bow at each end.
Layered felt means the letters are cut separately and stitched on top of the pennants, so they catch the light and cast a little shadow instead of reading flat. Hang both strands together across a mantel, or split them and run Merry up a staircase with Christmas along the rail below.
