How To Host A ‘Mint To Be’ Party For Valentine’s Day & Beyond

Soft, sweet, and effortlessly chic, a ‘Mint To Be’ themed party is the perfect way to celebrate love and togetherness! With its fresh color palette and timeless appeal, this theme feels right at home for Valentine’s Day celebrations while seamlessly transitioning into bridal showers, engagement parties, and springtime gatherings.

Our friends at Beijos Events shared all the details on their darling ‘Mint To Be’ Valentine’s Day soirée. From curating the perfect pastel palette to selecting the tastiest treats, here’s how to host a magical mint-themed gathering.

HARMONIZING HUES

At the heart of this celebration is a dreamy mint color palette layered with soft, romantic accents. To ensure her Valentine’s Day party captured the theme while honoring the occasion, Jacquelyn (Beijos Events) incorporated petal pink hues throughout. “Pairing the color pink with mint looked great and added that Valentine's Day touch,” she said.

While pink is perfect for V-Day, it also works for bridal showers and engagement parties. For these types of events, Jacquelyn suggests bringing in other pastel hues: “With all the gorgeous spring flowers about to bloom, you can't go wrong with this color combo.” From dreamy lilacs to sweet peach hues, there are plenty of mint-to-be colors to incorporate.

CLASSIC ACCENTS

When it comes to decor, less is more. Opt for a simple backdrop and soft, elegant florals. For Valentine’s Day gatherings, you can’t go wrong with balloons. Whether you create a whimsical backdrop like @goldiecrewcreative and @the.pop.shopllc, or display a simple bouquet, balloon decorations embody the occasion beautifully.

To elevate the look, pop in some subtle Valentine’s Day motifs like hearts and bows. Jacquelyn shared that adding elements like this pink bow balloon makes the decor feel extra feminine and romantic– perfect for a celebration of love!

FRESH TABLE SETTINGS

A beautifully styled table is the centerpiece of any “Mint to Be” party. Start by setting the tone with a statement mint plate. Jacquelyn shared that our Fresh Mint Cabana Stripe Plates helped her bring this theme to life. “I love using little puns or funny phrases in our events,” she remarked, “then I saw your adorable mint striped plates, and it all came together…it was without a doubt mint to be.”

For a classic Valentine’s Day table setting, layer with our Pink Valentine Heart Plates and coordinating cups, napkins, and cutlery. Finally, complete the look with simple place cards like @kam.bria_allen or a thoughtful Valentine’s Day favor

MINTY SWEET TREATS

No “Mint To Be” party is complete without desserts that match the theme. Lean into mint-inspired treats like frosted sugar cookies or chocolate-dipped sweets in soft green hues. For this event, @sugarfromtheheartbakeshop made a variety of mint desserts that captured the theme beautifully (and deliciously)!

Sweeten up your spread by displaying desserts on pastel cake stands and serving trays. For an extra touch of charm, bring in our Fresh Mint Cabana Stripe Table Runner. Both practical and on-theme, it keeps things cohesive and makes cleanup a breeze!

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day or honoring a bride-to-be, this theme beautifully symbolizes love and new beginnings. At the end of the day, the versatility is what makes a “Mint To Be” party so special and memorable. Jacquelyn said it best: “Have fun with it! Don't forget to share your personality and think outside the box. If you have a fun idea, roll with it, and you'll be surprised where that inspiration can lead you.”
