GIRL'S BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS FOR A FANCY PARISIAN FÊTE

If you’ve got a birthday girl with a taste for the finer things, this Parisian-inspired party idea is très parfait! We had the pleasure of collaborating with other sensational women-owned businesses to celebrate Taytum and Oakley, the darling daughters of content creator/mom-ager, Madison Bontempo.

With a “sweet and sophisticated” theme in mind, this party featured a mini candy shoppe, painting lessons, floral favors, and a fancy bounce house (of course!) Needless to say, it was any lavish little lady’s dream come true. We’re sharing all the details, so read on for our tips on how to throw a fancy fête of your own!

The birthday was held in Madison’s lakeside garden, an ideal location for a Paris-themed party–if you can’t make it to the Eiffel Tower, that is. Our talented friend, Michelle Rogers was the event planner extraordinaire, and styled the celebration with lots of pastels, bows, and floral party decor. And Aubrey Taiese, our exceptional Utah photographer, captured all of the stunning images from the girl's big day.

The key to a picturesque party atmosphere is all in the details. The adorable bow-topped bounce house is proof that no accent was overlooked, thanks to the lovely Pop Park City girls. Although every installation Jennifer and Sara create is beautiful, this one holds a special place in our hearts because it was one of Jennifer’s last. Those who knew Jennifer, or got to see her in balloon artistry action, know how much light and love she brought to the lives of everyone.

We are heartbroken over her passing, but we know she’d want us to continue her legacy, and try to bring her vibrance, positivity, and passion to every celebration. Her warm, bubbly spirit will live on in everything we do at Bonjour Fête. Here’s to creating more memories, and celebrating all of life’s moments!

We’re still not over this ooh la la-lavish mini candy shoppe from House Party Collective, who also brought the bounce house and a few other accents the girls loved. They crafted it themselves, and filled each twist tube with pretty pastel candies.

We adore the idea of incorporating little candy carts or bars at kid’s birthday parties. It makes stocking up on sweets feel elegant for the guests, and easy for the host.

We recommend having a stack of cups nearby for filling. These pink and white stripe cups are our girlie go-to for all kinds of fêtes. Not only are they magnifique for this Paris birthday party, but also a bridal shower or baby shower with a French flair.

As we’ve said before, premiere party styling is all in the details. We love how Michelle used this macaron tower ornament as a candy shoppe decoration. Simply adding on-theme accents here and there will elevate your party, and make it look like it was styled by a pro!

As if the details couldn’t get any sweeter, Pop Park City and House Party Collective sprinkled on some more brilliance with this floral-filled balloon garland and cotton candy cart. Jennifer and Sara have a knack for beautifying anything and everything, so they added sprays of baby's breath to their balloon garlands, and draped them throughout the party.

The installations made the entire celebration feel ethereal, but this balloon garland looks especially dreamy spilling out along the cotton candy cart. And the creativity didn’t stop there, as seen by the jumbo balloon layered in dainty white lace. Ravissant!

Sugar highs are inevitable at kid’s parties, so don’t be afraid to really sweeten things up. That being said, the girls also had pink cotton candy available on their big day, courtesy of Cortney (House Party Collective). For an extra fancy touch, the fluffy treats were served in floral printed cones tied with pastel ribbons and beads.

If you’d rather keep the goodies to a minimum, there’s no harm in having a non-sugary substitute nearby. These adorable macaron surprise balls were perfect for this birthday party theme. Each macaron is filled with tiny trinkets, making them a fabulous Parisian party favor.

Feel free to have your guests pop them open at the fête, or take them home as a celebration souvenir.

Taytum and Oakley’s party was full of gorgeous details, and this Paris-inspired flower shop backdrop was no exception. Shawn of the Flower Bar Co. went all out with blooms, so much so that you’d think you were strolling through the Jardin des Tuileries! And can we talk about the cakes by Amriel’s Cakes?! Stunning on their custom-built shelves! Each cake was topped with extra tall gold-dipped candles, a must-have for the best birthday wishes.

While candy and pastries are a sweet essential, every little lady (and their mamas!) can appreciate some balance. That’s why Madison incorporated a tea party picnic by the lake for all the girls.

Each guest got a basket filled with their own pretty pastel party supplies. Included were a few of our favorite pieces from the Meri Meri x Ladurée collection, namely these iconic Paris side plates and macaron tower napkins. Additionally, each girl received a floral party cracker to open while they munched and mingled.

Painting lessons as a fun idea for a girl's birthday party activity.

Any fancy fille will jump at the chance to participate in a Parisian art lesson. So, including a crafty activity like painting, ceramics, or even tie dye is an excellent idea for a little girl’s birthday. Each place was set with a mini canvas and easel, as well as individual paint brushes and palettes. Taytum and Oakley’s guests painted flowers, but a fleur de lis or teacup would also be a simple piece to teach!

All of the stunning florals and angelic arrangements were the cherry on top to this celebration. Again, Shawn worked her flower powers and decorated the entire party with the most beautiful bouquets and garlands. She even went a step further and made a petite flower bar for guests to create, and take home their own bouquet!

Shawn brought a variety of blooms and buds for the girls to choose from, and they had a blast playing florist. This is a brilliant party favor idea, especially for little ladies who love feeling grown-up!

This fancy fête was a huge success thanks to Madison, her girls, and all of the fabulous small, women-owned businesses we had the opportunity to work with. If you knew Jennifer, this was a huge part of what made her special, her desire to connect and work together within her creative community. Ever a champion of and advocate for those around her, if you too would like to carry on her legacy of support and kindness, please consider a donation to her gofundme.

We hope you’ve found some inspiration, and picked up a few of our best Paris party tricks! From our fête to yours, bonne chance!
