A burgundy rope dog leash in double-braided marine rope, finished with gold hardware and clamped industrially at both ends rather than stitched. That clamping is the reason it carries a lifetime warranty.

Rope leashes hold up where flat webbing frays, because the braid spreads load across the whole rope instead of one seam. Both sizes run 5 feet. Standard uses roughly 3/8 inch rope and is built for dogs up to 100 pounds. Petite drops to about 5/16 inch with a lighter clasp, sized for dogs up to 40 pounds. The weight difference is real, 8 to 9 ounces against 5 to 6, which a small dog notices. There is also an O-ring at the handle for a waste bag or keys.

Perfect for: daily walks, hikes, training, city sidewalks, gifts for a new puppy, and anyone replacing a frayed nylon leash.
