Plush orange velvet as a girl dog collar with a matching bow, six dollars less than the two apart. Velvet is what separates a fall collar from a Halloween costume: the color reads pumpkin, but the fabric reads dressed up rather than novelty.

Two elastic loops hold the bow to the back of the collar, which is the reason it stays upright through dinner instead of slumping. Take it off and orange velvet carries from the pumpkin patch in September to the Thanksgiving table in November. Small bows measure 4.5 inches square, Large 5.5 inches.
