HOW TO THROW A LADURÉE PARIS THEMED TEA PARTY
If you’re looking to throw an elegant Parisian tea party, Bonjour Fête is just the place to find all the boutique party supplies you need. When Meri Meri reached out to us about their exclusive collaboration with Ladurée Paris; oui knew we had to throw an event as chic as the party collection!
With the bright pastel hues, classic pistachio green, and youthful charm, the Meri Meri x Ladurée collection is ideal for birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, and garden tea parties for all ages. We were inspired to throw a French fête of our own, so we held an elegant tea time event at our Palisades Village location.
Naturally, we went all out with our Paris-themed party and served Ladurée macarons, sipped on bubbly champagne, and rendezvoused with our nearest and dearest. We’re sharing all the debonair details, so read on for tips on throwing your own Ladurée inspired soirée.
When it comes to tea parties, pastel is the way to go. We drew inspiration from Ladurée’s delicious pastel macarons and decorated our store with a similar color palette. Using pastel pink, yellow, blue, and green balloons, we crafted a chic balloon arch and coordinating bouquet.
Balloons are wonderful for any occasion, but they’d be especially fantastique if you’re planning a Paris birthday part!
The best way to greet your guests is with a brimming bar cart–or macaroon cart. So, we displayed this stunning cart adorned in Ladurée’s famous pistachio green by the entrance. We recommend stocking it with drinks, finger sandwiches, and pastries for your guests to snack on while they mingle.
If you decide to pass on the life-size macaron cart, be sure to pick up one of these adorable mini macaron cart centerpieces! This little Paris party decoration is guaranteed to transform any space into an elegant tea room. We used ours to display some pieces of the Meri Meri x Ladurée collection, but it’s also a perfect styling piece for tea sets and tea sandwiches.
Our Palisades store felt (and smelled) like a Parisian patisserie with all of the beautiful baked goods we had on display. We served mini fruit parfaits, cakes with cream cheese frosting, and towers of French macarons (of course).
Quick tip: to make any dessert table look more sophisticated, drape a coordinating garland over the front. This stunning floral garland is one of our favorite Paris decorations from the collection!
We’ve decided that macaron towers are the new “fleur de lis” of Paris party decorations (sorry, Eiffel Tower!) It’s a centerpiece you can eat, so how could it not be? We love the idea of creating a little “tea party bar” and displaying it along with tea cups, tea bags, and all the classic tea adornments.
For our event, we layered the larger pistachio Ladurée plates beneath the assortment of side plates. Then we set out the coordinating cups, napkins, and gold cutlery. One of our favorite parts about this collaboration is that there are two different tableware patterns to choose from. So, you can mix and match like we did with these exquisite floral napkins, or stick with one theme.
Finally, to complete our tablescape we placed one of these darling macaron tower napkins at each setting for a little ooh la la!
For a more "Patisserie"-centered place setting, j'adore these coordinating Patisseries plates and "Let Them Eat Cake" platters! They look fabulous paired with these matching napkins.
Every bonne fête needs a sweet sendoff. Since our party was full of treats, we decided to send our guests home with something not-so-sugary but just-as-sweet. These macaron surprise balls are the perfect Parisian party favor. We placed some in signature Ladurée boxes so our guests felt like they were leaving the patisserie on Champs Elysées!
Getting to use the fabulous Meri Meri x Ladurée collection at our event was a party dream come true! We hope you’ve found some inspiration for your own Parisian tea parties. Until next time, Au Revoir and Bonne Chance!
